Grand Canyon 1998

During November 1998 I hit the road.  I drove from San Jose, CA to Santa Fe, NM.  After spending a night at the old lodge, which is not built for comfortable winter nights,  I did a tour of the rim to the east of the main park before continuing on to New Mexico for the night.  There was snow at the Grand Canyon the day before, but I lucked out and got a sunny day the next day.  After going through the reservations to the east of the park, I rejoined highway 40 headed for Gallup NM, discovering the true meaning of the basic speed law, do not impede semi trucks going 105 mphs.
